The Google Messages app offers a feature called Star Messages. The feature allows users to segregate their important messages from all the conversations. So, if you also want to keep your important conversations handy then use the Star messages feature present in the Google Messages app.
Here’s how you can Star a particular message in the app
Step 1: Open the Messages app on your smartphone
Step 2: Open the conversation in which you want to star a message
Step 3: Now tap and hold the message you want to star.
Step 4: At the top, tap on Star.
How to find Starred messages in the app
The app also enables you to find your Starred messages in the app easily. Follow the below-mentioned steps to find the starred messages. To find starred messages across your conversations, in your conversation history, choose an option:
Step 1: Tap Search conversations and the Starred
Step 2: Tap More options and then Starred.
Google recently introduced end-to-end encryption in its Google Messages app. This means that all one-on-one texts sent using Messages by Google, for example, are encrypted, so they’re private and safe and can only be seen by the sender and the recipient. The company also introduced end-to-end encryption for group chats. Presently, the end-to-end encryption for group chats is only available for open beta program users.
