How YouTube is making more users eligible for its monetisation program – Times of India
Now, Google is further expanding the program by offering earlier access to YPP via reduced eligibility criteria. This will enable creators to start earning on YouTube at an earlier stage. With this expansion, creators will also be able to gain access to fan funding features like channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Thanks and more. Apart from this, Google is also introducing an update to the YouTube Shopping affiliate program. This program is also specifically designed for creators.
YouTube Partner Program (YPP) earlier access: Availability
Initially, Google is rolling out this new level of YPP to creators in the US, the UK, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea. Furthermore, Google said that it is also planning to gradually introduce earlier access to YPP across all countries where the program is available.

Eligible YouTube creators who meet the specific criteria can start applying for the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). To qualify for this program, creators need at least 500 subscribers, 3 or more public uploads in the last 90 days and either 3000 watch hours in 2022 or 3M Shorts views in the same period.
YouTube expanding Shopping affiliate program
Google further mentioned that the company is expanding the YouTube Shopping affiliate program to support creators who have progressed in their YouTube journey. This expansion will now include all eligible US-based creators in YPP with over 20,000 subscribers.
Creators can use the affiliate program to feature and tag products from various brands and other creators in their content. With this program, creators will be eligible for competitive commission rates on the sales generated through the products tagged in their videos and Shorts.
Google partners with top brands for this program
Google also noted that it has partnered with more than 50 brands for the YPP. these brands include Nordstrom, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and Wayfair. The brands span across multiple categories like beauty, tech, home, and apparel.
Creators can tag products directly in their Shorts or videos. This will enable viewers to shop from these videos while helping creators to earn commissions from these sales.
