“I don’t got to prove s*** to nobody” – Henry Cejudo not keen on making return if the UFC doesn’t pay him well

Henry Cejudo recently explained his problem with Dana White and the UFC. Cejudo insisted that if he’s not paid well enough, fans will never see him compete in the octagon again.

‘Triple C’ bowed out of the sport at the very top following his TKO win over Dominick Cruz. While most thought his leave would be temporary, it seems Cejudo’s issues with the promotion have escalated to a point where he may never return.

Speaking with MMA Junkie, Henry Cejudo revealed what it would take for him to make a UFC comeback and the fighters he’d like to face if that day ever came:

“They can see me back when they show me the money, that’s when you guys can see me back. The money better be worth my legacy. An Olympic champ, two-division belt holder, nobody has my resume… Give me Holloway, give me Alexander the average, give me that ugly potato face Petr Yan, I want them all.”

The 35-year-old continued to stress that the only thing stopping him from competing in MMA was the paycheck:

“I love everything I’ve done, I don’t got to prove s*** to nobody… I want a stack full of money. I’m not saying this to start a union, what I’m saying [is] pay me… If you guys want me to fight, stop dodging me and pay me.”

Check out what Cejudo had to say about his return in the interview below:

Will we see Henry Cejudo compete inside the octagon again?

Although he fought only 12 times in the UFC, Henry Cejudo has one of the most standout resumes in the promotion’s history.

Not only is the man a two-division world champion – something only a handful have accomplished – but he also beat some of the best fighters to ever grace the octagon.

In four consecutive bouts, the freestyle wrestler managed to beat Demetrious Johnson, TJ Dillashaw, Marlon Moraes, and Dominick Cruz. During this period, he earned both the flyweight and bantamweight titles and cemented himself as one of the greatest to ever step into the UFC cage.

While it looks unlikely that we’ll ever see Cejudo inside the octagon again, the potential matchups for ‘Triple C’, across multiple divisions, are mouthwatering for fight fans.
