Apple announced updates to its audio and laptop lineup at the Unleashed event. The company announced third-generation of its entry-level TWS earbuds, AirPods; new M-series MacBook Pro laptops; and new colors for its smartspeaker HomePod mini. AirPods 3 are priced at Rs 18,500
The third-generation Apple AirPods are priced at Rs 18,500. Apple first announced AirPods in September 2018. The new entry-level AirPods are the successor to AirPods 2 that were launched in March 2019. AirPods (3rd generation) will be available are available to pre-order from apple.com/in/store in India and 26 other countries and regions starting today, with availability in stores beginning Tuesday, October 26.
AirPods 2 Rs 12,900
Apple has announced Rs 2,000 price cut for the second-generation AirPods. Apple AirPods 2 will not be available at a new price of Rs 12,900. AirPods (second-generation) were launched in India at Rs 14,900 without charging case, while the model with wireless charging case cost Rs 18,900.
AirPods Pro with MagSafe charging: Rs 24,900
Apple AirPods Pro now support MagSafe charging and are available at Rs 24,900. The Apple AirPods Pro, without MagSafe charging support, are currently available at Rs 17,990 in Amazon Great Indian Sale.
MacBook Pro starts at Rs 1,94,900
Apple has launched what CEO Tim Cook calls the company’s most-powerful notebooks yet. The new MacBook Pro models run on the company’s new silicon called M1 Pro and M1 Max. The new 14-inch MacBook Pro model starts at Rs 194900 and Rs 175,410 for education; the 16-inch MacBook Pro model starts at Rs 239,900 and Rs 215,910 for students. The new MacBook Pro models with M1 Pro and M1 Max are available to order starting today on apple.com/in/store. They will begin arriving at select Apple Store locations and Apple Authorised Resellers starting Tuesday, October 26.
Apple HomePod mini in three new colours at Rs 9900
Apple’s smart speaker HomePod mini now comes in three more colours — yellow, blue and orange. This brings the total colour options to 5. For the uninitiated, the 3.3 inches tall Apple HomePod mini is rival to Amazon Echo and Google Home mini. HomePod mini will be available in these new colors, along with white and space gray, with color-matched details throughout, including the tinted touch surface, mesh fabric, volume icons, and woven power cable, starting in November for Rs 9900.
