James Anderson, who returned the clean sweep against New Zealand, has returned to the England playing XI for the fifth Test against India.

England named their playing XI for the re-scheduled fifth Test against India with James Anderson returning in place of Jamie Overton. Elsewhere, Sam Billings remains in the side with Ben Foakes missing out on account of a positive COVID-19 test.

The fifth Test gets underway on Friday (1 July) with India leading the series 2-1.
