Check out the full list of nominees for the Best Phone of 2021 Under Rs 50,000 award.
OnePlus 9
The OnePlus 9 chipped away a few Pro features and comes at a rather exciting price, especially given its adoption of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. You also get a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display, up to 12GB of RAM, and 65W fast charging on its 4,500mAh battery. Another attractive highlight is the Hasselblad branding on its camera system, which promises better colours on the photos and videos captured via the phone’s 48MP triple camera setup.
iQOO 7 Legend
iQOO’s tagline for this phone is ‘Monster Inside’ and it most certainly is a fitting one. The Snapdragon 888 chipset powers it from within, taking assistance from up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This phone ships with a 4,000mAh battery but its 66W fast charging support is what’s truly amazing to experience. The 120Hz AMOLED display boasts a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and there’s a 48MP triple camera setup on this loaded phone as well.
iQOO 7
Another excellent phone from iQOO, this smartphone with the same 48MP main camera of the Legend edition and also offers the said phone’s 66W fast charging support on its 4400mAh battery. Its 120Hz AMOLED display is accompanied by a special Intelligent Display Chip that offers enhanced frame rates, along with better HDR colours and contrasts for richer graphics. A slight downgrade over the Legend edition is this phone’s Snapdragon 870 chip, but coming in at a lower price point, the iQOO 7 does present great value for money.
Realme GT Neo 2
Another very impressive Snapdragon 870-powered phone in this category is the Realme GT Neo 2, which comes with a stainless steel heat sink to take care of the heat generated during long gaming sessions. Its 120Hz AMOLED is remarkable and is complemented very well by its dual stereo speakers. Moreover, the Realme GT Neo 2 features a 5,000mAh battery featuring 65W SuperDart Charge support.
Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro
Our next nominee for the Best Phone of 2021 (under 50k) was a success even before it hit the market. Its specs sheet and its price had blown the competition out of the water. At Rs 39,999, the phone offers not just the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, but also a triple camera setup headlined by a 108MP main sensor. On the front, this exquisitely designed phone holds a splendid Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G
The original Galaxy S20 FE was launched last year and had hogged a lot of limelight at last year’s Indian Gadget Awards. This year saw the arrival of its Snapdragon 865 variant, which offered the much-desired 5G support to the handset. Despite no other change, the device was still one of the most sought-after gadgets during the festive season. And this wasn’t a surprise given its excellent camera, gorgeous display, and IP68 rating.
OnePlus 9R
The OnePlus 9R is another attempt by the company to make its best technologies available to buyers at affordable prices. Powered by the Snapgragon 870 SoC, the phone rocks a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display as well as a 48MP quad-camera setup. Moreover, 65W fast charging also makes its way into the device. This allows those who want to buy the OnePlus 9 but are a little short on cash to grab a similar experience at a lower price.
Vivo X70 Pro
The Vivo X70 Pro is an excellent device for amateur photographers, and comes powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset. And its premium design and its super-fast performance are the cherries on the top. The phone’s camera setup features the Zeiss branding and even has a Zeiss T* coating to prevent lens flare, especially in night-time shots. At an incredibly competitive price, it offers a 50MP main camera, 12MP telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, and an 8MP telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom. Not to mention, there are plenty of other photography and videography focused features onboard.
Realme GT
The Realme GT’s pitch is all about speed and it definitely delivers on that front. The smartphone offers stellar performance on the back of its Snapdragon 888 chip that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. This memory is of the LPDDR5 RAM kind, while the storage is UFS 3.1, which promises fast read and write speeds. A 64MP triple camera setup, a 120Hz display, a 4,500mAh battery, and 65W fast charging support round off its key highlights.
Moto Edge 20 Pro
Motorola came into its own in a big way this year and the Moto Edge 20 Pro was one of its vehicles for this bid. With its price and specs list, it issues an open challenge to OnePlus phones in the under-Rs 50,000 bracket. Its 144Hz display is one of its prime features, with the other one being its 108MP triple camera setup that also includes an 8MP periscope telephoto snapper for delivering 50x digital zoom. This phone runs on the Snapdragon 870 SoC and delivers a near-stock Android experience.
