Instagram rolls out feature that lets you delete content in bulk – Times of India
Instagram has introduced new features aimed at helping users delete posts, comments and other platform activity easily. The features have been rolled out as part of the Safer Day Initiative. To access these features, a new section called ‘Your activity’ has been introduced.
Instagram users can now bulk delete or archive their content like posts, stories, IGTV and reels. They can also do the same with their comments, likes, story sticker reactions, etc. made on the platform, all from one place.
To make searching for a particular content easier, Instagram will also allow users to “sort and filter their content and interactions by date and search for past comments, likes and stories replies from specific date ranges, all in one place.”
“You can also use this to find content that you’ve recently deleted or archived, check out your search history, see the links you’ve visited and the amount of time you’ve spent on the platform and download your information,” said Instagram in a blogpost.
To access the “your activity” section, you need to go to your profile first in the app. There, tap the menu in the upper right corner after which you will see the option of “your activity”.
The photo and video-sharing platform recently introduced a feature called ‘Take A Break’, which is meant to remind people to take a break from the platform if they have been scrolling through the posts for a certain amount of time. The feature will suggest that they set reminders to take more breaks in the future. They will also be shown expert-backed tips to help them reflect and reset, said the photo and video-sharing platform.
