Instagram: Threads users get this ‘useful’ Instagram feature: All the details – Times of India

It’s been a week since Meta launched the Threads app for iOS and Android users in 100 countries and it has become the top free apps on the App Store. The application crossed 100 million user sign-ups within a week of its launch.
Threads, a messaging app from Instagram, has introduced a new feature that allows users to report issues within the app by shaking their phone.
The feature, called Rage Shake, was first introduced on Instagram in 2021. When a user shakes their phone while the Threads app is open, a prompt will appear asking if something went wrong. The user can then provide details about the issue.
Adam Mosseri, Instagram head, in a video, said, the new features coming to Threads include a following feed, editing, multiple accounts, post search, hashtags, web presence, like list and translations. He also posted, “Who can Reply — Before you post a new thread, you can set who can reply to that specific thread. The three options are — Anyone, Profiles you follow, Mentioned only.” Mosseri said that the company is “pumped” to start shipping improvements on Threads this week.
Other features coming to Instagram
The Instagram head also said that the company will add an edit button, hashtags, and a following page, among others. These features are soon to arrive on the Threads app, Mosseri confirmed. The edit option on the app will enable users to edit their posts, the following feed will display posts of accounts that users follow. In addition, Mosseri also revealed that a translation option to transcribe text is also in the works.
In a response to a feature request related to the “Following” tab, the Instagram head said, “We’re working on it, but the next week is all about getting rid of bugs and keeping the lights on…”
