Intel’s new Arc A770 and A750 GPUs to rival Nvidia’s RTX 3060 – Times of India

Intel this year unveiled its Arc lineup of GPUs – and two of these – Arc A770 and A750 – are heading to markets next month. The two GPUs will be available for purchase starting October 12.
The Intel Arc A770 GPU comes in two memory configurations – 8GB and 16GB – priced at $329 (approx Rs 26,835) and (approx Rs 28,465), respectively. Meanwhile, the Arc A750 has only a single 8GB model which comes at (approx Rs 23,570).
The Arc A770 comes with 32 Xe cores, 32 ray-tracing units and is clocked at 2,100MHz. The two memory configurations of the Arc A770 offer up to 512 Gb/s and 560 Gb/s of memory bandwidth, respectively. Meanwhile, the A750 features 28 Xe cores, 28 ray-tracing units, a 2,050MHz graphics clock and up to 512 Gb/s of memory bandwidth. The three GPUs have 225W of total power.
Do not undermine the new Arc A7-series GPUs because of their lower prices; in fact, they are better than Nvidia’s last-generation RTX 3060 GPUs, while being cheaper. As per Intel, the A770 offers 42 per cent greater performance per dollar compared to the RTX 3060, while A750 has a 53 per cent better performance-per-dollar.
Intel claims the A770’s 16GB configuration delivered better ray-tracing performance than the similarly priced RTX 3060 in some of the titles. Particularly in Fortnite, A770 delivered 1.56 times the ray-tracing performance of the RTX 3060, as per Intel.
We will have to wait until the new GPUs make it to users’ hands to know the real performance of these.
