The Voice Isolation feature for cellular calls is claimed to improve ambient noise reduction. The feature is currently available on FaceTime and other third-party VoIP call apps.

There are a total of 21 new emoji symbols with the new iOS release and these include hand gestures, a pink heart, jellyfish and a Wi-Fi symbol. Photos app gets the ability to remove duplicate photos and videos across iCloud Share Photo Libraries. Apple has brought back the page turn animation to the Books app in the iOS 16.4 build. There’s also built-in support for Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controller. 

The update also brings improvements to crash detection on the iPhone 14 series and VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app. There’s a new Accessibility setting to automatically dim video when flashes of light or strode effects are detected.

The update fixes an issue where ‘Ask to Buy’ requests from children may fail to appear on the parent’s device. The update addresses issues where Matter-compatible thermostats could become unresponsive when paired to Apple Home.
