iOS 16 beta 4: What’s new
New limit for edit and unsend features in Messages
Apple initially set a 15-minute time limit to unsend a message. However, with beta 4 it has been reduced to 2 minutes. Users can now only make up to 5 edits. Also, edit edits will be visible to the receiver.
Unsend time option for Mail app
Like Messages, Apple’s Mail app also comes with unsend option. Extending on that, the app has been updated with the option that allows users to customise the time for unsending a message. The default is set to 20 seconds.
CarPlay wallpapers
Apple CarPlay is set to see a major reformation with the iOS 16 update. Beta 4, however, brings multiple new wallpapers to it.
New features for Lock Screen
The update also adds support for Live Activities features that brings live notifications to the Lock Screen. Apart from that, the Now Playing interface on Lock Screen has received some changes with better graphics and font. A new widget has also been added.
In addition, the update also brings improvements to the Continuity Camera integration with macOS Ventura beta 4. The Desk View button has also been added.
