iPhone 15 lands tomorrow and Apple has two ways to make it more affordable

The iPhone 15 series goes on sale in the UK tomorrow, Friday 22 September, and Apple clearly wants you to buy one of its latest and greatest handsets with the US tech giant offering two easy ways to get money off. Whether you want to buy the new iPhone 15 outright or pay monthly, buying direct from Apple has you covered, with prices dipping below £34 per month if you opt for the latter.

As you can read in our iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus review they are sure to be among the most popular and best-selling smartphones of the year as they gain the clever Dynamic Island pop-up display from the Pro iPhones, a higher resolution camera, new pastel colours, and, finally, a versatile USB-C instead of Lightning port.

The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are no slouches either, with lightweight titanium frames, a new customisable action button instead of a mute switch, USB-C, and a top-tier camera system with up to 5x telephoto zoom on the Pro Max model.

All this newness doesn’t come cheap, with the iPhone 15 starting at £799 and the priciest model the iPhone 15 Pro Max starting at £1,199.

But if you want to get that new phone feeling tomorrow, Apple will give you cash off if you trade in an old iPhone as far back as the iPhone 7 from 2016. That old phone will get you up to £40 off depending on its condition. Any iPhone model from 2016 to today will get you money off when traded in and buying an iPhone 15 upfront.

Last year’s iPhone 14 Pro Max will get you up to £715 off the £799 RRP of the iPhone 15, meaning you could snap one up for as little as £84. Even the iPhone 12 will get you £230 off if it’s in good nick. You just need to enter the serial number at checkout, and Apple gives you instructions on how to send it off.

If you prefer to pay monthly and spread the cost of an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro over 24 months, Apple has teamed up with Barclays to offer an interest-free payment plan. You can get the 128GB iPhone 15 for just £33.29 per month (though remember this is without a SIM plan, which you’ll have to purchase separately).

This monthly payment plan is a good way to get a larger storage option, with the 512GB iPhone 15 costing £45.79 per month.

And though £66.62 per month for the top-of-the-line 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max might sound like a lot, it’s less heart attack-inducing than the £1,599 upfront price.

You can pre-order the iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro from Apple now. They go on full sale tomorrow.
