iPhone 15 leak: Series to feature dual hole-punch cutout similar to iPhone 14 Pro
The report further reveals that the punch-hole cutout will continue to be a part of the iPhone 15 display. This won’t be a surprise for next year since Apple is rumoured to replace the notch with a hole-punch/pill-shaped cutout on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max variants.
iPhone 15 display details tipped
The Omdia report claims that the next year’s iPhone models will have the same display sizes as the upcoming iPhone 14 series. According to the rumour mill, the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will have a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max and a new iPhone 14 Max will ship with 6.7-inch screen size, respectively.
If details mentioned in the report turn out legit, we will see the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro having a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Max have a 6.7-inch display. Unlike this year, the hole-punch cutout will be on all four models. The non-Pro models this year would have a wide-notch similar to the iPhone 13 models.
The report also mentions that Apple is falling behind in the competition with regard to under-screen camera technology. Earlier it was reported that iPhone 15 Pro models will have no cutouts on the display and the Face ID sensors are rumoured to be placed below the screen. Since the iPhone 15 lineup is not due until next year, things might change and it’s too early to draw conclusions.
