iPhone 15 Pro first look: design leaked via renders way before launch
iPhone 15 Pro design leaked
As seen in the leaked render images above (posted exclusively by 9to5mac), this is what the iPhone 15 Pro might look like. The CAD renders are based on the information shared by Apple to factories in Asia to prepare phone cases ahead of launch, so that there’s no shortage of compatible cases at the time of launch.
The most notable change that one can notice is the removal of Apple’s iconic Lightning port and the addition of a new USB-C port. Before you get your hopes too high, this USB Type-C port might come with its own set of limitations. To know more about the iPhone 15 series’ alleged USB Type-C port limitations and restrictions, you can head to our previous coverage for the same.
Moving on, the renders suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro will feature much thinner bezels when compared to its predecessor. We expect the same to happen with the rest of the devices in the iPhone 15 lineup. Plus, another notable change is the curvature of the edges. The glass seems to have curved slightly around the edges, which could potentially ensure a more seamless transition to the frame. The camera bump is also slightly thicker than before, which could mean that the iPhone 15 Pro would feature an upgraded camera setup.
Another interesting thing worth noting in the renders is the power button and volume up and down buttons, which look more like capacitive buttons and not physical buttons. This should not come as a surprise to any, given that the same rumour has already popped up in the past. Lastly, the iPhone 15 Pro is said to be a few mm smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro, owing to the thinner bezel.
