iPhone 16: New Battery Technology Promises Extended Battery Life and Enhanced Performance – Smartrpix

Apple enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of the iPhone 15 series, expected to be officially announced in September. While details remain undisclosed, speculations about its successors, the iPhone 16 lineup, have already surfaced. Notably, a reliable tipster recently revealed that Apple intends to incorporate new battery technology into the iPhone 16 models. This technology, derived from electric vehicles, promises enhanced battery life and improved longevity compared to standard batteries. Additionally, it may enable faster charging capabilities for the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup.

Twitter tipster RGcloudS disclosed that Apple plans to adopt stacked battery technology, also anticipated for Samsung’s future Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. Initially, it was speculated that Apple would introduce stacked batteries in the iPhone 15 series, but recent information suggests otherwise. The tipster also hinted at the possibility of Apple introducing 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe wireless charging. Based on previous launch patterns, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S24 lineup early next year, potentially beating Apple to implementing the new battery technology.

Stacked batteries offer several advantages over conventional Li-ion batteries, including improved efficiency, reduced heat generation, and increased longevity. Apart from electric vehicles, these batteries find extensive application in aerospace and aviation sectors.

Recent leaks have also hinted at larger batteries in the iPhone 15 lineup. The standard iPhone 15 is rumored to feature a 3,877mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the iPhone 14’s 3,279mAh. The larger iPhone 15 Plus could house a 4,912mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Pro might see an increase to 3,650mAh compared to the outgoing iPhone 14 Pro’s 3,200mAh. As for the top-tier iPhone 15 Pro Max, battery details are yet to be revealed.
