iPhone users can start integrating iCloud Photos on Windows 11 PCs – Times of India
Microsoft announced a new feature for users who own an iPhone and a Windows 11 PC. This feature will enable iPhone users to integrate iCloud Photos into the Photos app available on Windows 11 PCs. Microsoft has already started rolling out the feature and has confirmed that the iCloud Photos integration will reach all Windows 11 users by the end of November.
iCloud Photos integration on Windows 11: How to use
Users need to update their Photos app on Windows 11 to use this feature. After the app is updated, users need to download and install the iCloud client for Windows. The iCloud app will be available on the Windows Store and users need to enter the app and sign in to sync their iCloud photos on Windows 11 PCs.

iCloud Photos integration on Windows 11: Importance
Earlier, if iPhone users had to move their iCloud images to Windows PCs, they had to plug in their iPhones to their PCs with a USB cable. Microsoft also allowed iPhone users to use the iCloud web app in a browser to add photos to the Windows Photos app. However, this new feature will offer an integrated view of all iCloud photos on the Windows 11 Photos app.
Microsoft’s decision to integrate iCloud Photos into Windows 11 PCs is a part of the company’s broader initiative to make Windows the “most open,” software. The Redmond giant is planning to do that by bridging the gap between rival services.

Last month, Microsoft introduced Apple Music on Xbox consoles and is set to launch Apple TV and Music apps on Windows 11 in 2023. Microsoft’s software for desktops now also supports Android apps. Moreover, users can also sync their Android phone messaging and notifications with their PCs by using the Phone Link app.
