iQOO 8 Legend India launch gets closer as Indian variant gets listed on IMEI database | 91mobiles.com

Not too long ago, we spotted the iQOO 8 Legend on the TUV Rheinland certification website, which hinted at the fact that it would essentially be a rebrand of the iQOO 8, which launched a little while ago in China. On top of the moniker revelation, the TUV Rheinland listing suggested that the iQOO 8 Legend could be launching soon in India. Well, today’s finding solidifies the assumption even further. Today, we have spotted the iQOO 8 Legend (Indian variant) on the IMEI database listing. This backs our exclusive report on the iQOO 8 Legend and iQOO 8 launching in India. Let’s take a look.

As seen in the image above, the iQOO 8 Legend (with the model number iQOO I2017) has recently been listed on the IMEI database. The IMEI listing suggests an imminent launch of the device. That being said, it does not reveal anything on the specifications/features front. That, however, does not seem to be much of a problem considering the iQOO 8 Legend is most likely going to be a rebranded iQOO 8, the specifications and features of which, are already known.

iQOO 8 Legend: What to expect

If the theory does hold right and the iQOO 8 Legend is indeed a rebadged iQOO 8, the device will feature a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the iQOO 8 Legend will be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, which will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, we can expect the device to boot Android 11-based FunTouchOS 11 out of the box.

In terms of battery life, the iQOO 8 Legend will come with a 4,350mAh battery with 120W fast charging (provided the brand receives the certification for a 120W fast charger). So far, we have not been able to crawl this particular certification and the reason could be this simple – it hasn’t been certified yet. So, what sort of fast charging will the iQOO 8 Legend support? Well, we’d have to wait for some more time for that to be known. To learn more about the iQOO 8 Legend, you can head to our previous coverage for the same.

So far, this is all the information that we have on the iQOO 8 Legend, but we will keep you posted on the same if we receive any more news/leaks surrounding the same.
