iQOO 9T Black colour variant teased ahead of India launch: specifications
iQOO 9T is the company’s upcoming premium flagship offering. The brand has been officially teasing the phone on its social media platform and the Amazon listing has confirmed the online availability. There are speculations that it could be a rebrand of China’s iQOO 10 phone since they both appear to have a similar design. iQOO will be continuing its partnership with BMW motorsport as the design on the back has a vertical stripe, which looks unique.
The iQOO 9T will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset and could have 120W fast charging support. Now, in a new teaser image, the iQOO 9T’s new Black colour version has been revealed for the very first time.

The iQOO 9T is the company’s first T-numbered flagship in India and will be a follow-up to the iQOO 9 series from earlier this year. The handset will be available in the BMW motorsport edition with a White and Black dual-tone design with the BMW stripe. Now, the company has revealed the new Black colour option in a new teaser image. While the design of both colours is identical, the new black colour model has a carbon fibre finish within the camera module.
The phone has a big module on the back panel and there are triple cameras and an LED flash housed in a rectangular array. There is a new V1+ text engraved as well. While both colours are black, it appears to have a dual-tone design.
iQOO 9T specifications (expected)
The iQOO 9T is said to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass layer, HDR10+, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. It is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage that should be further expandable via a microSD card. The phone is likely to boot Android 12 with iQOO custom skin.
Moving to optics, the iQOO 9T comes with a 50MP Samsung GN5 primary sensor with gimbal-like stabilisation, a 13MP UW sensor, and a 12MP third sensor. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. It is said to have a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The phone is likely to have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
