iqoo: iQoo 8 to launch in India soon, gets BIS certification – Times of India
iQoo is planning to launch the iQoo 8 in India soon. The phone has reportedly received BIS certification. The certificate is an indication that the device will be available in the market soon. The device will be a successor to the iQoo 7 smartphone that was launched in January this year. The specifications of the smartphone is no secret as it is already available to purchase in China. It is expected that the Indian market will also get the devices with the same specifications only. For those who don’t know, here are the specifications of the smartphone.
iQoo 8 specifications
iQoo 8 smartphone features a 6.56-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2376 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888v SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone lacks support for external storage. The device runs on OriginOS 1.0 that is based on Android 11 and sports an in-screen fingerprint for security.
When it comes to camera, the smartphone sports a triple camera setup at the rear that consists of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 lens, a 13MP ultra wide lens and a 13MP portrait lens. For selfies, the device has a 16MP sensor on the front. The smartphone is backed by a 4350mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
Apart from the iQoo 8, it is also rumoured that the company will also rebrand the iQoo 8 Pro as iQoo 8 Legend for the Indian market. The device features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of camera it gets a 50MP + 48MP + 16MP triple camera setup at the rear. At the front, it sports a 16MP selfie shooter. The device is powered by a 4500mAh battery.
