iQOO Neo 9 Series leaks shed light on design & key specs
The Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is preparing for its new launch – the iQOO Neo 9 series that brings the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. Both the devices have been through multiple rounds of public certification as their launch draws closer and now, we have schematics for the devices and some key info thanks to the courtesy of a reputed tipster.
iQOO Neo 9 series Leaked Schematics and Key Info
The schematics plus the info from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo paints a picture of what we can expect from the upcoming duo.
The schematics show a punch-hole cut-out at the front as usual. There’s nothing much on the front except the fact that the iQOO Neo 9 series is speculated to have narrower bezels and the design reflects the same. Both the devices will have narrow dimensions which means reduced width that should make it easier to hold. Moreover, the four-curved glass back cover will make another attempt at easing your grip on the device.
iQOO Neo 9 series is expected to replace the plastic midframe for a metal so that’s another upgrade on the near-flagship device. Apart from that, DCS says the phones will get a dual-color combination or dual-tone back panels, and perhaps the bifurcation as in the schematics could reflect the same.
The rear camera assembly packs in three sensors housed in two squaricle camera bumps that ooze a bit above the panel. Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is focusing on upgrading the performance of the Neo 9 series (compared to the Neo 8 series) and thus, the finalized specs sheet will reflect the same.
iQOO Neo 9 Series Specifications (Expected)
Well, we do have a reported list of specs for the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series comprising iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. The non-Pro variant is expected to ship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC plus 256GB storage and 16GB of RAM. On the contrary, iQOO Neo 9 Pro is likely to get a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC plus 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Android 14-powered FuntouchOS 14 takes over the global variant while the Chinese variant picks up OriginOS 14. Both the devices are slated to get a 6.78” AMOLED panel.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any dates for the IQOO Neo 9 series yet. For context, the iQOO Neo 7 series arrived in February 2023 followed by the Neo 8 series in May 2023 which means the iQOO Neo 9 series is likely to arrive sooner. We are hoping it will be before this year concludes or early next year take this with a pinch of salt.
