iQOO Z5 launch in India seems imminent; Here are the details – Smartprix

iQOO mobile brand seems to be working on unveiling the second device from its Z-lineup dubbed iQOO Z5 in India. The smartphone has been sighted on the IMEI certification site. The phone has appeared only with a model number without revealing any of the specifications.

iQOO Z5 will be a successor to the iQOO Z3 (review) which had entered the Indian market in June. Lately, the phone has been doing rounds on different certification websites. Recently, it has come up on India’s C-DOT CEIR IMEI website with the model number I2018. It has been listed under the maker name of Vivo Mobile and the brand name of iQOO. The market name of the device is clearly written as iQOO Z5.

Also, the popular leakster Mukul Sharma took to Twitter announcing an impending launch of the iQOO Z5. Though none of these sources have disclosed anything about the spec details, we could make a few guesses — 

iQOO Z5 Expected Specs

Since it’s been a small gap between the two generations, the iQOO Z5 could arrive with minor upgrades to the original iQOO Z3. The iQOO Z5 is expected to arrive with an AMOLED panel instead of the LCD screen. Meanwhile, it should be retrieving the 120Hz refresh rate.

As for internals, the iQOO Z5 could come equipped with Snapdragon 778G SoC. This could be coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It is likely to run on iQOO UI on top of Android 11.
