IQOO Z5x to arrive with a better thermal management on October 20 – Smartprix

IQOO Z5x made several headlines in recent weeks as it was spotted on the IMEI database, 3C listing, and Google Play Console with the model number V2131A. Now, the company has officially announced the launch date of IQOO Z5x in China for October 20. The biggest highlights of the Z5x are touted to be a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5-layer cooling system.

IQOO Z5x Specs

IQOO Z5x will feature a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and is expected to fall in the affordable category for consumers. It will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset that will give it dual-SIM 5G capabilities and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity too.

The smartphone will have a 6.85-inch Full HD+LCD display and the bottom of the display will have a feature chin that will be thicker than usual. The front camera module will be housed at the top inside a water-drop style notch. IQOO Z5x will be using a 5-layer liquid cooling system for better thermal management. It will have a thermal design and use liquid-cooled copper pipes, high thermal conductivity gel, and large area graphite plates. The smartphone will also have 6 dedicated temperature sensors, that would help in detection and cooling while the phone is subjected to demanding tasks like playing high-end games.

The smartphone will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage capacity. In the camera department, IQOO Z5x will have a dual-camera setup including a 50MP main camera and 2MP secondary sensor. There will be an 8MP front camera for selfies and videos too. It will pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 44W fast charging support and will run on Android 11 OS. Its dimensions are 163.95×75.30×8.5mm and it weighs about 169 grams.

The images shared by IQOO reveal that the device will come with a vertically aligned dual-camera setup and an IQOO branding on the rear. There is an embedded fingerprint sensor on its power button too.

IQOO Z5x Expected Price & Availability

According to the company’s website, IQOO Z5x will be available in 3 colors-

• Lens Black
• Fog Sea White
• Sandstone Orange

The company is keeping pricing and availability close to its chest. It is also expected to debut in India soon.
