Iron Man Deleted Scenes Showed Tony Stark Doing Laundry, Reveals Producer Jeremy Latcham
It’s been fifteen years since Iron Man released, launching Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. A lot has gone down since then, but only recently did we get to know that the movie still has a couple of deleted scenes, that fans have no idea about. In a recent interview, former Marvel producer Jeremy Latcham revealed that some of them are just downright embarrassing.
Iron Man has deleted scenes that the producers decided against revealing, ever
Latcham, who worked on 2008’s Iron Man as an associate producer, spoke to Screen Rant where he revealed that there are still scenes from Iron Man that the audience has not seen till date, and won’t ever, in all probability.
Latcham mentioned “three or four” such deleted scenes throughout the Infinity Saga, that he proposed be released publicly. Apparently, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige refused because, according to him, “People will know we don’t know what we’re doing. It’ll be embarrassing if they see these scenes.” This was in reference to one such scene which showed Abu “doing laundry.”
Another one showed Tony Stark himself, also doing laundry, for his captors from the Ten Rings. Latcham said,
“…there was a whole runner in Iron Man where Tony Stark was doing laundry and I don’t think they’ve ever come out. Someone should look into it, but I don’t think they’ve ever been seen. Tony is doing laundry for the captors, but he’s really breaking the washing machine and stealing parts from it to build the Mark 1 suit. It’s so absurd. It’s wild.”
That’s another bit of information that just re-emphasises on the genius of Tony Stark. The guy built a war machine out of scrap metal, including parts of a washing machine.
Earlier, Marvel Studios had released a series of deleted scenes for the MCU’s ten-year anniversary. It now remains to be seen if any of the cinematic universe’s upcoming anniversary will make the producers go back on their words, and finally reveal some of the “embarrassing scenes.”
