Is Chase Edmonds playing on Monday night? Fantasy injury update for Rams-Cardinals Week 14 Monday Night Football
The last thing fantasy football owners need at this crucial juncture in the season is a “questionable” running back playing on Monday Night Football. However, that’s the situation with Chase Edmonds (ankle), who still hasn’t been activated from the IR. Chances are, more than a few owners were banking on Edmonds playing in Week 14, so start ’em, sit ’em decisions hang in the balance until we get further updates on his status.
We’ll continue to update this article with news on Edmonds up until the official active/inactive report comes out on Monday around 6:45 p.m. ET. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Is Chase Edmonds playing on Monday night?
Edmonds (ankle) hasn’t played since Week 9, but after being designated to return from IR on Thursday, many expected him to suit up on Monday night against the Rams. In fact, Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury implied last week that Edmonds would return for this game. However, Arizona has until Monday afternoon to activate Edmonds, and it apparently wants to wait until then before making an official decision.
WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
It still seems likely that Edmonds will play, but given the uncertainty of the situation combined with Edmonds relatively low ceiling (and mediocre floor in standard leagues), fantasy owners would be wise to keep Edmonds on their benches for at least one more week. There aren’t many viable pivots if Edmonds is declared out, as you’d have to rely on a risky WR, such as Rondale Moore or A.J. Green for your flex spot. If you need an RB, you’d likely be reduced to Eno Benjamin or Mekhi Sargent.
WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
With just one TD this year, Edmonds is merely a solid-floor flex in PPR leagues. In a tough matchup like this where he could see limited touches, Edmonds simply isn’t worth waiting for.
