Is Kareem Hunt playing on Sunday night? Fantasy injury update for Browns-Ravens Week 12 Sunday Night Football
Kareem Hunt has been officially activated from IR, but he’s still listed as “questionable” for Sunday night’s game against the Ravens. The best “handcuff” RB in the league hasn’t played since Week 6, but the Browns (and fantasy football owners) hope to get him back for Week 12. Start ’em, sit ’em decisions hang in the balance while we wait for the latest injury updates.
That’s why we’ll continue to update this article with news on Hunt up until the official active/inactive report comes out on Sunday around 6:50 p.m. ET. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Is Kareem Hunt playing on Sunday night?
Hunt (calf) got in limited practices all week, and despite being officially listed as “questionable,” both Hunt and Browns coach Kevin Stefanski have said the super-sub RB will play on Sunday night in Baltimore.
WEEK 12 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
In the five games prior to his injury, Hunt was averaging 14.4 touches (3.4 catches), 88.8 total yards, and one TD per game. He’s more of a “co-No. 1” than a “handcuff” to Nick Chubb, and the duo has proven that both backs can be effective fantasy starters regardless of opponent. Hunt has slightly more value in PPR leagues compared to standard, but clearly, he’s effective any way you look at it.
WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
It’s possible he’ll be “eased” back into action, but against a middle-of-the-pack Baltimore run defense, there’s no reason to be worried about using Hunt in his first game back. He’s a virtual must-start in all formats, at least as a flex.
WEEK 12 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start ’em, sit ’em
If Hunt has a setback and winds up being a surprise scratch, D’Ernest Johnson will once again operate as the No. 2 back behind Chubb. He never received as many touches as Hunt while Chubb was healthy, so Johnson isn’t someone you can count on in fantasy. Chubb would merely see more touches and become an even better RB1 option.
