Is Samsung Working On A New Smartphone Lineup? Here’s What We Know – Smartprix

Most smartphones have a codename when they are in development. It could be a combination of numbers and letters or a common/unique word that makes sense. Brands often use these codenames to pass internal communication about a phone before revealing its official name. For instance, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro codenames were Shiba and Husky, respectively. Switching over to Samsung’s side, the Galaxy S23 was codenamed Diamond. Now, it looks like there’s confusion between leaksters about the upcoming Galaxy S24 series’s codename.

Tipster Shares Pixelated Images, Claims Samsung Is Working On A New Lineup

On November 26, 2023, tipster @evleaks (Evan Blass) published a pixelated image of what appears to be a couple of smartphones, with the caption “name that/those phone (s).” Earlier today, another tipster, @UniverseIce, replied to the images, saying that those are the Galaxy S24 models. However, in response, Blass mentioned that those are the images of a new lineup called “Eureka.”

Ice Universe then clarified that Eureka is the codename of the Galaxy S24 series, but it doesn’t look like the shared images are of the series, primarily because we’ve already posted high-quality renders of the Galaxy S24 series, and something that isn’t exclusive or under embargo anymore doesn’t need to be pixelated. Hence, whether the phones shown in the image are Galaxy S24 in new colors or a new smartphone lineup remains a mystery.
