Is Tom Hiddleston Pulling an Andrew Garfield by Revealing That He’s Not Part of Thor: Love and Thunder?

Tom Hiddleston has been a mainstay in the MCU, ever since he was introduced as Loki, the God of Mischief in 2011’s Thor alongside Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder.

Since then, he has appeared in a ton of movies of both the Thor and Avengers franchise, and recently, he even got his own TV show on Disney+. With Thor and company returning with Thor: Love and Thunder, fans are wondering whether Loki might show up, and Hiddleston gave the class ambiguous answer that everyone saw from a mile away.

The British actor was asked about a possible appearance for his character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder during an interview with Total Film to which he replied:

Rumors about cameos in a Marvel movie have caused a constant flurry of questions for actors, who are rumored to be playing them. Around the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we saw Charlie Cox and Andrew Garfield vehemently deny that they had any part in the MCU movie. However, in the end, they did show up, much to everyone’s surprise.

In the case of Hiddleston, the actor isn’t playing a role that might show up once and leave, as Loki has history with many Avengers and Thor series characters. Moreover, fans will even see him more in Season 2 of the Loki Disney+ show, which will soon begin filming.

In the end, with an altered timeline, it will be interesting to see the characters meet Loki, as they all assumed his death at the hands of Thanos during Avengers: Infinity War. However, as of right now, it seems very unlikely for the character to show up in the storylines of both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.
