Jamaica vs. USA live score, updates, highlights from CONCACAF World Cup qualifier
The U.S. men’s national team is riding high at the top of the regional World Cup qualifying standings after its win last week against archrival Mexico. Next up is a trip to Kingston, Jamaica — which has proven to be anything but easy in the past (1W-1L-4D U.S. record in qualifiers).
The Reggae Boyz are down in sixth place (six points) and seven points away from the places that would earn them an automatic World Cup berth. With five home matches in their final seven matches, Jamaica will be desperate to rack up the home wins, starting with the U.S. on Tuesday.
Team U SA is well on its way to potentially clinching a World Cup berth in the next round of qualifiers in January 2022, but a loss in Jamaica could make things complicated again, depending on other results. The Americans will have two winnable home games (vs. El Salvador and vs. Honduras) and a trip to Canada in its next three matches.

In a must-win home game, Bailey and Antonio start. Manager Theodore Whitmore has made two changes on his back line with Liam Moore coming in for veteran center back Adrian Mariappa and Javain Brown taking over at right back for Oniel Fisher, who isn’t even listed on the bench.
