James Gunn Has Shared a New Superman: Legacy Tease on Social Media
Slowly and steadily, James Gunn and Peter Safran are building the blocks for the new DC universe. The Superman: Legacy movie will be the first movie of this new universe. Gunn has already found DC’s new Superman as well as Lois Lane. David Corenswet will portray the role of Superman while Rachel Brosnahan will be playing Lois Lane.

Now that the DC has its new Man of Steel, it seems like the logo and suit from Zack Snyder’s movie of the same name are set to be replaced. James Gunn has just given fans a new tease to break down on social media. Gunn uploaded a new image on Bluesky, brought to light by Twitter user @therealsupes. The image features Superman from the Fleischer cartoons. The animated suit from the show is now being speculated to serve as the suit for David Corenswet’s Superman.
The Fleischer Superman cartoons came out between 1941 to 1943. They came out before any of the major movies on Superman were made, and hence served as the first look at how Superman was for many people at that time. The theatrical shots, 17 in total, are also what gave Superman the ability to fly.
Zack Snyder’s Superman, played by Henry Cavill, seems further away from the one being created by Gunn. The suit difference would also help further create a more positive, and good-natured Superman for the upcoming universe.
