Jared Leto Randomly Scaling a Hotel Building Sparks Confusion, Memes

Jared Leto was spotted scaling the wall of a hotel in Germany without any safety gear, sparking confusion, memes, and plenty of commentary from spectators.

Pop Crave shared a video on Twitter of Leto climbing up the stone wall of the Hotel De Rome, a five-star luxury hotel in Berlin, without a harness or any other protective equipment but, fortunately, he doesn’t attempt to go any further than the first balcony before starting his descent.

It seems that a man can’t scale a wall in peace these days, as when he reaches the bottom, a small group of onlookers surround the area. They were likely as perplexed by Leto’s wall-crawling activities as the internet spectators were after the video found its way online.

The clip triggered some amusing responses from people on social media, with many questioning Leto’s motives for the short but suspenseful free-climbing session. Even Paramount Pictures chimed in with the Mission: Impossible theme for the rather spontaneous stunt.

According to TMZ, Leto was accompanied by TikToker Younes Zarou, a modern-day illusionist known for his wild stunts, so it’s possible that the climb was for a collaborative project. The outlet notes, “the gang was shooting some other segments with Jared near the hotel.”

Or perhaps he’s just glad to be back in the land of the living after recently playing the Hatbox Ghost in Disney’s Haunted Mansion. The poltergeist-riddled property will open its doors to foolish mortals attending theaters from July 28 in the US and August 11 in the UK.
