Jeremy Renner Uses Anti-Gravity Treadmill to Walk in New Video
Jeremy Renner has shared an encouraging update on his recovery, following the January snow plow accident that left him with dozens of broken bones.
In a video shared to Renner’s Instagram story (via Variety), he could be seen for the first time walking on an anti-gravity treadmill. The machine takes the load of a percentage of Renner’s body weight to make it easier to perform the walking motion while he’s still recovering. Renner captioned the video, writing, “Now is the time for my body to rest and recover from my will.”
Renner was in a snow plow accident near Reno, Nevada in early January, when his snow plow weighing over 14,000 pounds ran over him. He suffered from blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries, and underwent successful surgery shortly after the incident. Renner shared a photo of himself after surgery, thanking everyone for the kind words.
A few weeks later, Renner revealed the accident left him with over 30 broken bones. The sheriff’s report revealed that Renner was trying to stop his snow-removal tractor from sliding and hitting his nephew. His nephew helped Renner until officials arrived, and Renner was subsequently lifted to the hospital.
