JioBook announced to go on sale on August 5: Here are the complete details | Digit

JioBook has launched in India. Reliance Retail markets the laptop as India’s first e-learning book. You can buy the JioBook starting August 5, 2023. Here are the JioBook specs, features, price and availability details.

JioBook specs and features

JioBook features an 11.6-inch HD display with a matte finish. It also supports screen extension, in case you need it.

Above the screen, there is an HD webcam for video calls.

Beneath the display, there is a keyboard and a multi-gesture touchpad. Within the JioOS software (more on that soon), there is support for over 75 keyboard shortcuts.

The visuals on the screen are backed by a stereo speaker setup.

Coming to the software, the Android-based JioOS comes with a chatbot, educational content via the Jio TV app, a JioBIAN coding environment, and games via JioCloudGames. There is also 1 year of 100GB Cloud storage via Digiboxx and QuickHeal Antivirus for security.

The software lies on top of a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The latter can be expanded up to 256 gigs with an SD card.

Last, but not least, the Jio laptop also sports 4G-LTE dual-band WiFi, wireless printing, USB and HDMI ports for connectivity.

All of these and the JioBook weighs only 990 grams. So, it should be light to carry around.
