JioBook is launching in India on July 31. The company has announced the launch date through Amazon. The new Amazon microsite reveals many of the key features of this Jio laptop. So, here’s everything we know.

1. JioBook will be an on-the-go device thanks to its support for 4G connectivity. You can recharge the connection and enjoy the internet on the JioBook while you are on the move.
2. Since it is ultra-light at 990 grams, the JioBook should be easy to carry around too. The predecessor weighed 1.2 kg and so this is lighter.
3. JioBook boasts an all-day battery life too, which should assist in your on-the-go lifestyle. It is said to carry a 5000mAh cell inside.

4. The internals also consist of an octa-core processor. This is believed to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage. There could be even a microSD card storage expansion of up to 128 gigs.
5. You get JioOS with this laptop. This is a custom Android skin with proprietary apps like MyJio, JioTV, JioMag, JioNews, and JioCinema. It is expected to be lightweight and should be designed for an entry-level device like this laptop. Since it is Android-based, you could open and use Android apps. This allows cross-compatibility with your Android phone.

Among other details, the rumours suggest there could be an 11.6-inch HD screen on the front, a webcam, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and two USB ports. As per a recent 91Mobiles report, the laptop could cost around ₹20,000 in India.
