JioGamesCloud: JioGames partners Ubitus for cloud gaming showcase on 5G – Times of India

JioGames gaming service has announced that it is collaborating with Ubitus KK to showcase its cloud gaming on 5G in India. The company will bring a large library of multi-genre games that users can play on JioGamesCloud, India’s own cloud gaming platform, powered by 5G.
Ubitus KK is a Japan-based cloud gaming enabler that helps telecom companies and major game companies to build their own cloud gaming platform. It has been providing technology to top-tier gaming companies and licensing popular titles from content gaming companies.

Its partnership with JioGames will enable console-like gaming which can be accessible across devices, including Jio Set Top Box, smartphones (Android), and web browsers.
JioGamesCloud, which is currently live in its public beta, is available free of cost for a limited period of time across the Jio set-top box, Android smartphones and select web browsers. JioGamesCloud will take advantage of the Jio 5G network to help in the growth of the cloud gaming ecosystem in the country.
JioGames, Gamestream partnership
The development comes a day after Jio announced that JioGames partnered with cloud gaming solution provider Gamestream and struck a 10-year deal to provide 1.4 billion Indians with unlimited access to cloud gaming. Gamestream will offer over 100 games in JioGamesCloud’s library for all gamers with new games each month. Last year, Jio revealed that the games available on the platform range from AAA Titles to Hyper Casual Games.
How to play games on JioGamesCloud
With JioGamesCloud, gamers just need a good internet connection. Just plug in the internet and start playing popular titles on their PCs, smartphones, TVs and Web browsers. Jio will also reveal the price of the subscription plans later which will give users full access to the rich library of games on JioGamesNow.
