Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash Announced at the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2023

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash, a brand-new 2v2 action game, was announced at the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2023.

This new game, which will be the first Jujutsu Kaisen game to appear on consoles, will be released in the future on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

We weren’t given a ton of details beyond a gameplay trailer, which featured such characters as Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo, but it was confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash will feature an original story by Gege Akutami, who is the writer and illustrator of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series.

Jujutsu Kaisen started as a manga in 2018 and was adapted into an anime in 2020. There was also a feature film called Jujutsu Kaisen 0 that was released in 2021. In our Jujutsu Kaisen 0 review, we said, “With stunning animation, complex and memorable characters, and a healthy dose of horror imagery, this is one of the best shonen anime films in a while.”

For more, check out why we called Jujutsu Kaiser the next big thing in anime in 2021, why we called Jujutsu Kaiser Season 2 one of the biggest anime coming in 2023, and how Jujutsu Kaiser and other new wave Shonen Anime are raising the bar.
