Jujutsu Kaisen: Viz Media Alters Gojo’s Dialogue in Manga After Reader Complaints
Jujutsu Kaisen readers were left disappointed after Chapter 221 of the manga was released on April 24, as it contained a dialogue inconsistency in the English translation of the manga.
In the manga’s previous chapter, Yuji, along with his other comrades, unsealed Gojo from the Prison Realm, following which he encountered Kenjaku and Sukuna. After Sukuna is stopped by Kenjaku to fight Gojo, the special grade jujutsu sorcerer decided to meet them again and fight on December 24, Suguru’s death anniversary, which did not sit well with Kenjaku.
The official English translation by Viz Media had Gojo’s dialogue translated to just a “No,” which did not match the callback from Chapter 3 of the manga. The new dialogue was different from what shown in the third chapter of the series.

The company then changed the line to “Nah, I’d win,” after complaints by readers online, and it seems like they are now satisfied with this rectification.

Some readers even went on to call Viz’s translation “lazy,” and celebrated that they “bullied” the company into changing the dialogue:
