Krafton Bans Over 2 Lakh Accounts in BGMI in a Single Month to Curb Cheating in the Game

Mobile gaming has skyrocketed since the arrival of Battle Royale titles like PUBG and BGMI. However, while the player base has grown significantly, the titles have also seen a rise in hackers and cheaters as well.

To combat this, developers like Krafton continue to issue massive ban waves to protect its players from harmful players like these.

The South Korean mobile giants have released weekly ban waves which include thousands of cheaters for using illegal tools like hacks to improve their performance in the hit Battle Royale title.

The company released another major ban wave earlier this week, where they suspended nearly 200,000 players who appeared to have some sort of cheating tool or mechanism to help them get kills and win games.

Krafton notified their latest ban wave in a recent blog post where they revealed the final count to be 171,188 players in a ban wave that started from January 24 and ended on February 6.

This is one of the biggest ban waves in BGMI history as the game continues to add more players at a historic pace. Over the past few months, the developers have focused a lot on removing cheaters and hackers from the title by introducing new tools, and it seems like it is finally paying dividends with massive ban waves.

However, the end goal of the developers will be to eradicate these cheaters completely where they wouldn’t need to implement weekly ban waves of over 100,000 cheaters. While new cheats are being introduced almost every week, the developers at Krafton are up to the task, and as of right now, it’s safe to say that BGMI hasn’t been overrun by hackers completely.
