Leaks Suggest Nintendo Indie World Showcase Could Happen This Week

Nintendo Indie games are something that players should always look out for as they might find some actual gems in there. Indie games are basically smaller games that are developed by independent developers or a small team. These games do no receive funding from the big publishing houses that are responsible for AAA titles.

Nintendo Indie World is an event that is dedicated to promoting the indie games that have been developed for their platform. It is a showcase like the Nintendo Direct shows, but only features indie games and takes place once every year. The last Nintendo Indie World showcase took place on December, 15, 2021.

According to latest reports, it seems like the next Nintendo Indie World showcase might be just around the corner. As spotted by Reddit user, u/LinkWink, there is a discussion on the Nintendo Famiboards thread that points out a possible Indie showcase event in the coming week.

The Redditor has spotted a user that goes by the name Emily on the thread, and she has posted something about the indie games event on the Nintendo Famiboards. Well this news by itself seems very common, but one thing to note is that the same Emily posted a something about Indie games on the board in 2021 and guess what, the Nintendo Indie World showcase event took place in the same week.

Last year, Emily was asked whether the Nintendo Indie World showcase was taking place in that week, to which she replied, ‘100%’, and the Nintendo Indie World event date was announced shortly after. This time around she has posted something on similar lines and that hints to many players that the indie dedicated event is right around the corner.

This time Emily posted, “Any fans of indie games in here? Also, NateDrake is awesome”. Well this doesn’t look like an actual confirmation like the last time, but it seems like it is highly probable. There is no way of knowing for sure now, but the players should hang tight and wait for an official announcement from Nintendo Itself.
