Leeds fans pelt Man Utd stars with coins as Anthony Elanga struck in Fred celebrations
Anthony Elanga appeared to be struck by a coin as Manchester United celebrated restoring the lead in a manic second half against Leeds at Elland Road. The Red Devils had led the game 2-0 at the break but two goals in 24 seconds from Rodrigo and Raphinha pulled the hosts level out of nowhere.
United substitute Fred then put United ahead again and as his team-mates celebrated with the Brazilian, Leeds fans began to throw coins from the crowd.
“There is a problem here with Anthony Elanga,” Martin Tyler said.
Gary Neville then added: “I think it might be a coin, stuck in the top of his head.”
To which Tyler replied: “We have to be careful what we are suggesting but I think you might be right.
“Yeah, he was certainly hit by something.”
