Little Orpheus Has Been Released on PC and Consoles

Side-scrolling platformer game Little Orpheus has been released on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. On PC, the game is available on Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game by developer The Chinese Room and publisher Secret Mode first arrived on Apple Arcade for iOS, macOS, and tvOS on June 12, 2020. It was supposed to come out for PC and consoles in March but was delayed owing to its Soviet theme during the Russo-Ukrainian War.

“We’re excited to bring Little Orpheus to more people than ever,” said James Schall, Director of Publishing at Secret Mode. “Launching Little Orpheus on PC and consoles with a host of new features gives us the opportunity to introduce our beloved (and often hapless) explorer to adventure game veterans and brand-new players alike. We can’t wait for fans to suit-up and join us on this once in a lifetime journey.”

The game is rebuilt and remastered for PC and consoles with hi-res textures, new animations, and enhanced graphics and effects. It also features a bonus ninth episode titled A Rush of Onion to the Head and the Lost Recordings Mode from the original release.

Little Orpheus is described as follows:

“The year is 1962 and NASA is trying to put a man on the moon. In a remote corner of Siberia, a Soviet cosmonaut is heading in the other direction. Ivan Ivanovich is dropped into an extinct volcano in his exploration capsule, Little Orpheus, to explore the centre of the Earth. He promptly vanishes. Three years later he emerges claiming to have saved the world.

Join Ivan as he explores lost civilisations, undersea kingdoms, prehistoric jungles and lands beyond imagination. Little Orpheus is a fantastical side-scrolling adventure game for casual players and seasoned adventure fans alike, inspired by classic movies such as Flash Gordon, Sinbad and The Land that Time Forgot.”

Little Orpheus is available for ₹449 on Steam and Epic Games Store, ₹874 on the Xbox Store, and ₹1,082 on the PlayStation Store.
