Major League Cricket: Seattle Orcas beat Washington Freedom by 5 wickets – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Nauman Anwar (48) and Imad Wasim (43*) powered Seattle Orcas to a five-wicket victory over Washington Freedom at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Friday.
Chasing a 145-run target, the match boiled down to Seattle Orcas needing six runs off the last over. The twist in the tale came when Shimron Hetmyer edged a Marco Jansen delivery onto his stumps on the second ball of the last over.

But Shubham Ranjane then smashed two fours off the next consecutive balls to ease nerves and seal the deal for the Seattle Orcas.

Earlier, Harmeet Singh and captain Wayne Parnell took two wickets each as Seattle Orcas restricted Washington Freedom 144/7 after winning the toss and putting them in to bat.

Opener Andries Gous (28) top scored for Washington Freedom but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals even though Glenn Phillips and captain Moises Henriques chipped in with 20 and 24 runs respectively.
