Man Utd have Hojlund agreement as Chelsea make Liverpool hijack and Arsenal bid

Clubs are away on pre-season but those especially in the Premier League remain active in the transfer window. Kylian Mbappe’s future remains the hot topic, having turned down a mega-money £259million move to Saudi Arabia to join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Middle East, where several top stars are opting to ply their trade in a busy summer.

Manchester United have already brought in Mason Mount and Andre Onana but are hoping to tie up deals for Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat, though concerns have arisen over the former as Paris Saint-Germain have also made their interest clear and even offered a higher wage packet to the striker – as no team so far have struck an agreement with Atalanta.

Arsenal have completed their US tour with the 5-3 win over Barcelona in the early hours of Thursday morning, as new boys Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber impressed. Record signing Declan Rice did not feature, though Mikel Arteta and Edu are unlikely to be finished in the market after bringing in three key additions.

Liverpool are hoping to complete the signing of in-demand Romeo Lavia from Southampton after submitting a second bid, but are wary of Chelsea hijacking their pursuit having officially lost their captain Jordan Henderson – who teamed up with Reds legend Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq.
