Man Utd re-signing Pogba gets green light online with Juventus open to exit

Manchester United saw Paul Pogba blow hot and cold during his time at Old Trafford. However, some fans on social media would happily welcome the midfielder back. Juventus are apparently open to cutting ties with the 30-year-old, who has struggled with injuries since his return to Italy 12 months ago.

Pogba arrived with big expectations upon moving to United back in the summer transfer window of 2016.

But the France international struggled during his spell at Old Trafford, with injuries and inconsistency often hampering him throughout his time in Manchester.

Juventus are now open to parting ways with the 30-year-old.

And some United fans have taken to social media to reveal they’d be open to the player possibly returning for a third stint.

“Sounds ridiculous but i’d genuinely take him back as a stop gap player for a season or two,” said @Billydyson.

“Fortunately, I’m ready to listen and get hurt again,” said @chr1sfleming.

User @sunnyinitneymar weighed in with: “Pogba is one of my all time favourites, people don’t realise how talented he is! Pogball is simply stunning when he’s on form.”

@yaecia1 said: “I wouldn’t be mad at this…”

“I’m taking him back no question. He’d absolutely thrive in our team now,” were the words of @NaldoUtd.

And @Lummie0000 said: “Low key I won’t mind having him back tho.”

Not everybody was convinced, however.

“Absolutely not injured all the time and that’s the last thing we need,” said @LukeBrannigan06.

“That could actually be worse business than iqbal. How do you lose the same player to 1 team and buy him back twice,” said @Y0u__Wish.

“I would never go back personally, but he was my favourite player to watch during his time here,” stated @EnkeiTwit.

And @AMGATTAN7 opined: “Pogba is my favourite player, and I don’t want him to come back. He’s better off going somewhere else.”

United don’t appear to have Pogba under consideration, however.

And that’s probably a good thing given his torrid injury record in recent years.

Pogba also had an uneasy relationship with matchday supporters during his spell in Manchester.

And when asked recently about that issue, the 2018 World Cup winner responded by saying: “When I left Manchester, I was young.

“And when you’re young, you want to prove something.

“I came to Juve, to a fairly young Italian club, it was a big test for me. But I immediately saw the love of the supporters.

“I saw the love of the club. I really liked how they worked and learned a lot.

“I went back to Manchester because I hadn’t finished my work there. I said to myself ‘I really want to play with the A’s [the first team]’. I did it and it was a goal achieved for me.

“We have already won, not the Premier League, but titles that Manchester have not won for a long time.

“And I came back to Juve, why? Because it’s really the club that helped me push myself.

“And really the love from the fans, the love from the club that I get, I didn’t get that in Manchester.

“I was quite surprised when I came back to England, already with the transfer I was given a label. It was quite sad.

“But it’s two clubs that I really love, that made me grow and I can only say thank you to these two clubs.

“Maybe I could have gone to other clubs, but it was my heart that chose those clubs and I often follow my heart.”
