Man Utd star Casemiro rows with Fernandes despite heroics vs Villa
Manchester United star Casemiro seemed furious with Bruno Fernandes after the club’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday. The Portugal international scored the only goal of the game at Old Trafford. However, he seemed to have irked his team-mate with his performance during the Premier League showdown.
Manchester United were too strong for Villa on Sunday afternoon, with Fernandes netting in the 39th minute to give his side all three points.
However, the midfielder seemed to anger Casemiro during the contest.
After the game, Casemiro and Fernandes were seen rowing on the pitch and gesturing at each other – with the duo clearly in disagreement.
Club captain Harry Maguire, who came on in the closing stages of the game, then came over and said something to Fernandes amid the argument.
It echoes the Carabao Cup final, with Casemiro and the Portugal international also having a heated exchange following the victory over Newcastle at Wembley.

But, all in all, it was a good day for United.
The Red Devils are now nine points clear of Tottenham in fourth ahead of Spurs’ Premier League clash with Liverpool later in the day.
And United are on the cusp of returning to the Champions League, having failed to qualify for the competition under Ralf Rangnick 12 months ago.
Speaking after the game, Fernandes expressed his delight over the result.
“We always do everything to win the game, not every time it is possible but the team always do everything to win the game,” said the midfielder.
“It’s always important because this club is about winning games.
“It doesn’t matter the opponent we play against, we knew we were playing against a good team who haven’t lost in 10 games who have good players and good patterns but we also knew that we are capable to do our job and win the game.
“We did what we were trained to do, we could have scored more goals but we are happy with the 1-0 and the three points.
“It’s really important for us to get top four and then we have to think about winning a trophy.
“So we have to find the energy and aim for the top four and the FA Cup.”

United boss Erik ten Hag also reacted to the result.
And the Dutchman hailed Fernandes for his goal, while also saying he was impressed with the way his side performed at Old Trafford.
“A good three points but I think an impressive performance from Manchester United,” said the 53-year-old, whose side have now beaten Villa twice this season.
“We were magnificant on the ball, had good possesion and pressed well.
“In the second half you want to go 2-0 ahead but we didn’t so it’s always going to be a tough finish.
“[Victor Lindelof] played brilliant. He was totally in control in the area around [Ollie] Watkins.
“Bruno [Fernandes] had another great game. The plan was to play him from the right to make runs behind and he did that so well.
“I think our plan worked very well.
“We look from game to game and next we have Brighton so we need to work hard again. We need to show passion again and not worry about the table.
“We are totally in control [in the race for top four], it’s all about us and it’s in our hands.”
