Man Utd takeover bidding may yet go on for months despite new offers
Leading Manchester United takeover bidders Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim have reportedly submitted new offers to buy the club before the 9pm deadline. However, a warning that the process could roll on for months has emerged as the Glazer family hold out for their asking price.
According to The Guardian, Ratcliffe, owner of petrochemical giant INEOS, and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim’s bids are in.
Neither party has confirmed their offers’ values, but they are said to be higher than the first wave of indicative approaches, reportedly worth around £4.5billion.
