Tottenham striker Harry Kane appears to have had a change of heart in regard to the clubs he would be willing to leave north London for. Several sides are keen to acquire the England international this summer, though it was speculated that Manchester United was the only club that he was willing to jump ship for earlier this week.
Despite Spurs enduring a torrid campaign that saw them miss out on European football on the final day of the season to Aston Villa, they would have plummeted further down the table without the magic of Kane.
The striker scored 30 goals in 38 appearances for Tottenham last season in the Premier League, assisting three goals and playing a key role in the overall output of the club.
As a result, United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are said to have shortlisted the forward as a top target this summer in order to improve their forward ranks and acquire one of the best in the business. However, a move to Germany was not said to have been appealing, and Chelsea were ruled out for fear of tarnishing his Tottenham reputation.

The Athletic report that Carlo Ancelotti is the driving force behind Madrid’s interest in Kane and has urged the higher powers at the club to splash the cash on securing the signature of the English talisman. The Italian boss is said to have mentioned the striker in senior management meetings and told the club to ‘accelerate’ such plans. The Real Madrid board are said to have told Ancelotti they will try to achieve the signing but raised a number of difficulties that could arise in talks to temper his expectations.
There is an aura of uncertainty at Madrid this summer, with Karim Benzema’s recent links with Saudi Arabia highlighting how short of depth the La Liga outfit would be if the France international departed. The ex-Lyon star appears to have insisted that he will remain with the club beyond this season, though injuries have caught up with Benzema lately – which ruled him out of the World Cup – and aged 35, there is no long-term succession plan for the No 9 at this stage.
