Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered launches today for PC: Here’s what’s special for PC players – Times of India

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PC today, i.e. August 12. It is developed by Insomniac Games’ in partnership with Marvel and optimised for PC by Nixxes Software. On Steam, the game will unlock in a few hours.
The game so far has been a PlayStation-exclusive title. It launched as a PS4-exclusive in 2018 and was remastered in 2020 for the PS5 alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Spider-Man Remastered is set in New York and features Peter Parker with eight years of experience as Spider-Man. His journey will make him face some iconic Marvel villains while trying to find some balance in personal life and career at the same time.
“The Big Apple comes to life in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Swing through vibrant neighborhoods and catch breathtaking views of iconic Marvel and Manhattan landmarks. Use the environment to defeat villains with epic takedowns in true blockbuster action,” said the developers on the game’s webpage.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC content will come with the full main story plus Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC. The DLC adds three more story chapters with some extra missions and challenges.
The graphical improvements for PC

  • On supported hardware, ray-traced reflections will be available across the game in varied quality levels. One of these levels is a “new, higher-quality” ray-traced mode that offers even more city detail when web-swinging and fighting crime in Marvel’s New York, said the developers in a post on the game’s Steam page.

  • If you have a GeForce RTX GPUs, NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) will increase graphics performance using dedicated Tensor Core AI processors, promise the developers.

  • For those GeForce RTX gamers who have spare GPU headroom and want higher levels of image quality, there is NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing), an AI-based anti-aliasing mode.

  • The PC version of the game supports a range of display ratios, including ultrawide 21:9, panoramic 32:9 and NVIDIA Surround multi-monitor setups.

  • Other rendering systems like SSAO, texture filtering, LoD quality, shadows, etc. “are more customisable than they have been in the past, with additional quality levels and algorithmic options”, the developers claimed in the post on Steam.

  • The game comes with support for windowed, full screen, and exclusive full-screen rendering.
