Marvel’s Wolverine Reportedly Arriving in 2025; Spider-Man 2 Cast Tease Venom’s Introduction to the PlayStation Franchise
While every PlayStation fanatic is paying attention towards Insomniac Games’ upcoming title in the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man, fans might want to look past the horizon for one of its future outings.
Last year, the studio dropped a bombshell by confirming the development of a PlayStation Wolverine title. While we haven’t heard much about it since then, Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb recently came bearing gifts for fans of the iconic mutant like Santa Claus on Christmas.
In a recent episode of his Game Mess Mornings podcast, Grubb shared that due to the game’s lengthy development cycle, the developers might push the game’s release from the original launch window of Fall 2024 to 2025, which is a long way out.
Furthermore, Jeff Grubb also confirmed that unlike Spider-Man, the game will have a semi-open world design, much akin to Santa Monica Studio’s God of War. And fans that are worried about any lack of gore can rest easy, as the insider also revealed that the title will sport a M for Mature rating, which means players can certainly go crazy with Wolverine.
Tony Todd and Yuri Lowenthal tease Venom’s arrival in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Following many teases, PlayStation and Insomniac confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will make its way this year.
With a rumored Winter release, fans can’t wait to see the return of their favorite friendly neighborhood superheroes. And they won’t be coming alone, as they will be bringing a load of fun with the new villains, who will be part of the series. This includes Venom, who will be voiced by Candyman actor, Tony Todd.
The character was first teased in the game’s announcement trailer, and recently on Twitter, Todd and Peter Parker voice actor Yuri Lowenthal added fuel to the hype. Check out the duo’s interesting chatter on the popular social media platform:
YEAH he does.
