Mauricio Pochettino has already decided his next four Chelsea signings
Chelsea are set for a big overhaul this season with co-owner Todd Boehly offloading players to make way for Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement. The new Blues’ boss has already made his mind up on four key signings after welcoming Nicolas Jackson to Stamford Bridge with a goalkeeper, Angelo Gabriel, a midfielder and a striker or another central midfielder set to follow.
The 22-year-old has signed a huge eight-year contract as the Blues met his £30.1million release clause to strengthen their attack. Jackson attracted attention last season by scoring 12 goals in 26 La Liga matches for Villareal.
Pochettino also has the new signing of £53million wonder kid Christopher Nkunku to look forward to as a welcome gift. Nkunku netted 16 goals in 20 league matches for Leipzig despite an injury-hit campaign.
Pochettino officially starts work today and securing the signature of 18-year-old Brazilian Angelo Gabriel from Santos could be his first task. The Blues are considered ‘best positioned’ to sign the left-sided winger but the deal is not yet done.

Gabriel would provide some midfield strength but with Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all leaving this summer some experience in central midfield appears a must. Young Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo could prove the player that Chelsea require, while also fitting into their future building plan.
Caicedo’s versatility could prove key to Pochettino’s side after the new boss previously described the Ecuadorian as the ideal midfield general. Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga is another potential target and has a £34.6m release clause.
