Max Verstappen says his only wish of the British Grand Prix is to have a strong battle with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The Red Bull star is looking to extend his 32-point lead over Hamilton in the Drivers’ Championship.
And he will have the best chance possible given he will start the Grand Prix from pole position.
Hamilton was slow out of the blocks during Saturday’s sprint race and that allowed Verstappen the opportunity to burst into the lead before the opening corner.
The 23-year-old did not look back thereafter as he sprinted to the chequered flag.
“All I want is a good battle with Lewis,” Verstappen said after securing pole position.
